| UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS STARFLEET OPERATIONS SALVAGE COMMAND FINAL REPORT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reference code: | XM-2402-GD8-PANTHEON | |||
| Prepared for: | CDR Three of Six, SALCOM Fleet Operations POC SB600, VADM Lucas Gali, Sector Command, FADM Kathryn Janeway, CIC Starfleet Command, CAPT Rovak, CO DS13 | |||
| Prepared by: | SCDR Saa Ni-Eng, OIC Engineering DS13, LCMDR (P) Intharia T'Zor, CSO DS13, MCPO Gaz, Ops Chief DS13 | |||
| Prepared on: | 79717.87 | |||
| Section I: Xenoacquisition Background |
| The primary artifact is a Ha’tak-class planetary assault vessel manufactured by the Goa’uld Empire of preliminary extrauniversal quantum signature (XUQ) tag E-5 or ‘Tau'ri’ {REF:182660}. Three units were secured post-engagement, on acceptance of surrender and conditional amnesty by DS13 CO. All units had sustained heavy damage pre-contact. Damage control operations began prior to engagement, during first contact procedures, as humanitarian aid was being rendered by station personnel. | ||||
| Section II: Gross Object Data |
| The recovered Ha’tak-class starships are primarily troop transports of differing configuration and scale, but with an average base diameter of 703.6 meters and an average mass of 8.063 million standard tons dry-weight per vessel. Complete material analysis is obtained from the IM-10 Detailed Mass Properties Index contained in Appendix C, along with all sitreps, discussions and logged observations previously included in the preliminary salvage report. Gross analysis with essential standouts follows in appendices. MCPO Gaz reports repairs of remaining Ha'taks not scheduled for immediate disassembly are back to operational status as of Stardate 79704.17. |
| Section III: Recovery Operations |
Following determination that none of the ‘hyperspace’ propulsion systems aboard the recovered Ha’taks could be restored to independent operability within the timeframe required by Starfleet General Order 12, SALCOM directed that the three recovered units be readied for towing to SB40 for disposition and further study. As the third Ha’tak (’Pride of Hera’) {Ref:182509} had been assessed by onsite engineering as unable to be safely towed at high warp for the needed duration, DS13 personnel began a survey of salvageable systems that could instead be taken aboard the station for independent analysis. Inputs from Science centered on systems identified as displaying anomalous energy signatures {Ref:182532} or novel material organization. Of these, priority was assigned by Engineering to those systems capable of being safely removed from the host vessel’s primary power distribution grid. Phased asset retrieval operations were initiated on stardate 79710.1, and concluded on 79710.53. Following ahead-of-schedule completion, transfer to SB40 has been countermanded, DS13 will maintain custody of vessels and technology. The following systems were recovered: |
| Naquadah-fusion power core (semiportable) | Cold fusion power generator utilizing novel xenoelement ‘Naquadah’ {Ref:181219) as a reaction stabilizer. Seems to achieve lower energy output density than comparable M/AM reactors, but without the safety and environmental hazards associated with antimatter. Could have useful planetary applications. Priority: High. T'Zor's note: Reference materials speak of refined xenoelement 'naquadriah' with even greater potential, but not retrievable samples found. |
| Crystalline data cores | Efficient, self-reproducing logic matrices with FTL processing achieved via A-layer subspace immersion. Decoding in progress. Priority: Mid. |
| Shield generator (array) | EM-based spherical deflection and energy dissipation system. Uniphasic, outdated and vulnerable. Priority: Scrap. |
| ‘Death gliders’ | Crewed transatmospheric strike craft. 37 units recovered in functional readiness, with eight more in maintenance rotation. Puzzlingly inferior armament, but ‘interesting’ flight characteristics. Priority: Mid. | |||
| Graviton transporter | Non-buffered matter transmission system that seems to compress polarized plasma through concentric annular graviton relays instead of a confinement beam. Priority: A lawsuit waiting to happen. {Appended comment: But since it doesn’t use any subspace fields, it would be theoretically immune to subspace interference.} | |||
| Medical pods | Novel tissue regeneration system that, if testimony is to be believed, can extend human lifespan up to 4000 years. Priority: Extreme. T'Zor's note: Cultural non-interference limitations mean access to this technology is limited, we cannot confiscate medical devices. Any observations will need to be external and with the support of local leaders. |

"Very impressive." Ambassador Creon told Centurion Mirok as she finished the document. "How did you acquire it?" She asked.
"Chief Vupé doesn't lock her console when she goes to bed." Mirok told the Ambassador.
"Good. Unredacted would be better, but you have done well." Creon made a copy of the padd, and stored it with other sensitive material she kept. This particular report would not be getting back to the Free State, but the team at Remora station would learn what they could.
